HIIT Yoga Workshop

Under the Elder Tree -- Monday, Feb. 5th, 6-7:30

This class combines high intensity intervals into Vinyasa Flow.  The class begins with a centering practice to focus the mind, a full body engaging warm up before the Intervals begin.

These High Intensity Intervals link yoga poses with flow to:

  1. Amp up the heart rate

  2. Stimulate full body engagement

  3. Elevate your metabolic rate for hours after your practice

  4. Burn a high amount of calories in a short amount of time

Harness the power of your breath to glide you through the flow sets engaging deep core muscles, strengthening the body by improving cardio endurance, balance, and posture.

   Some yoga experience and ability required.

Open Heart Workshop

Under the Elder Tree -- Saturday, Feb. 10th 1-2:30

It’s easy to show love to those whom you already love: friend, partner or relative.  With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, celebrate the power of love by exploring heart opening techniques through:

  1. Pranayama (breathwork)

  2. Asana (yoga poses)

  3. Meditation

This class will show you ways to soften the mind and open the heart in order to share love and joy more freely with those whom you encounter in daily life.

Beat the Winter Blues Workshop

The Movement Studio -- Saturday, Feb. 10th 5-8p

Learn various ways to keep the blues of the winter at bay with recipes for homemade and herbal remedies to fight colds, flu and depression, a guided meditation to keep the mind from clutter and chaos, warm the body with a yoga practice, and self-care massage to ease the aches of winter in this 3-hour workshop.

   All levels welcome.

   Option to bring a pen, notebook and water.

Ballet Yoga Fusion Workshop

Under the Elder Tree -- Thursday, Feb. 22nd 6-7:30

Ever wonder how ballerinas build those amazing lean figures?  Have you ever wanted to know how to attain those long lean muscles?

This fusion class is specifically designed to:

  1. Elongate muscles

  2. Target specific muscles or muscle groups

  3. Build correct posture

  4. Build cardio and muscular endurance

  5. Have fun learning classical Ballet technique

The combination of Ballet barre drills and Yoga Flow and stretching give the body the building blocks needed for a strong lean body in a fun, upbeat, and sometimes silly environment.

   No prior Ballet or Yoga experience required.

Intro to Meditation Workshop

The Movement Studio -- Saturday, Feb. 24th 1-4p

Have you ever felt intimidated, apprehensive, or challenged by the thought of meditating? 

This workshop will

   1.  Explain the benefits of having a meditation practice

   2. Debunk the myths

   3. Introduce various ways of meditating

   4. Dive into the components associated with the practice. 

In this 3-hour workshop, Jessi will lead you through a yoga practice designed to prepare the body before taking a guided meditation practice.

   All levels welcome.
